Contribution Rules

5. I understand that the processing fees are considered donations to the VoteDown PAC and are used to support the operations of the PAC, including but not limited to any card processing fees that VoteDown is charged.

Vote Down gives 100% of your donations to the leading opponent of the politician you oppose.

Who Gets The Money When You Donate Against?

VoteDown has introduced the new concept of donating *against* a politician who has upset you. Before VoteDown, you needed to remember your outrage, hold on to it, wait for years, and THEN you could donate against the politician and work for their opponent.

VoteDown is flipping the script, allowing you to cause the politician pain NOW, right when their actions hurt you. This immediate feedback is KEY to reforming Congress and giving citizens a voice again in politics.

But, exactly where is the money going when I donate?

Where Do My Donations Go?

No Opponent To Donate To

You want to donate against a politician, but it's early in their term and they don't have any opponent to donate to.

Pick A Race

You can donate against your representative in either the Primary race or the General election (so you can ensure the money goes to the party of your choice).

90 Days Before The Election

We review the public polling for that race to see who the leading opponent is. In the event of no public polling or a tie, we will see which opponent has raised the most.

We Fund 100% of Your Donation

100% of your donation will be transmitted to that opponent to help them defeat your politician. Your representative now has to work much harder to retain their office.

Why Is This Better Than Donating Myself?

Donating directly gives you more choice in the process, but you can only do that in a small window when re-election happens. You have to hold onto your outrage.

But, even if you do remember to donate in a few years, your politician will never have gotten the meaningful feedback and consequences.

At best, holding your rage and donating directly will replace this corrupt politician with another corrupt politician.
